Apostolic Mentoring

Overcoming Yourself: The Battle Within ... English & Spanish

Rev. Charles G. Robinette Season 5 Episode 25

Pastor Garwick delivers a powerful message on overcoming internal battles to fulfill divine purpose by examining the contrasting lives of Saul and David. The real comparison isn't between these two kings but between who we are now and who God has called us to be.

• Character weaknesses and internal battles can sabotage our anointing and divine calling
• The snake of personal ambition can grow into a dragon of destruction when left unchecked
• New levels of anointing always reveal character flaws that must be addressed
• Saul's ministry was paralyzed when he began seeking approval from people rather than confidence from God
• Those who overcome themselves like David find restoration even after failure
• The gap between our current state and God's divine purpose for us must be closed
• Our confidence must come solely from the cross of Christ, not human validation
• Divine calling should be our primary identity regardless of our profession or position
• The apostolic church is being prepared to rise up in these last days for global harvest

Speaker 4:

Una gran iglesia apostólica.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Well, thank you, Brother Robinette. It's so good to be here on Apostolic Mentoring.

Speaker 4:

Gracias, Hermano Robinette.

Speaker 1:

And I mentoring and I'm so grateful that you're willing to come to Oklahoma and minister each and every year, and I'm so grateful for your vision for Global Harvest and you make it available for us all to be a part of it. Thirteen years ago, the Lord laid this book upon my heart heart.

Speaker 4:

The core of the book is surrounding the life of King Saul, such a tragic figure in scriptures.

Speaker 1:

In 1 Samuel, 15 and 28, it says the Lord hath rent the kingdom from Israel, from thee, this day, and has given it to a neighbor of thine that is better than thou Now. The word better is a word that tells the reader that we are to compare Before the name of David is ever mentioned in the book of 1 Samuel.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Before his life is ever revealed.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

The Lord is saying compare these two men.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

David is measured and weighed by the Lord.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

And the Lord is declaring that David is better.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

And so the question that must be asked for all of us is why? Why is he better? And I believe that digging out this proper answer is so critical to our ministry.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Because the same human flesh that is in us.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Weaknesses, inconsistencies, failures, character defects.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

todo esto they must be dealt with and they must be overcome.

Speaker 4:

Debemos enfrentarlas y debemos tener victorias sobre ellas.

Speaker 1:

Both Saul and David had the same divine call upon their life.

Speaker 4:

David had the same divine call upon their life. They both were called to be the king of Israel. Both were anointed by the same prophet. Both oversaw great military victories Y los dos tuvieron grandes victorias militares.

Speaker 1:

And both men tragically failed the Lord at times.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

But what is astonishing about these two men?

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Is that Saul's life ended in rejection and judgment.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

While David found redemption and restoration.

Speaker 4:

Donde David encontró restauración y redimido.

Speaker 1:

So we're back to that question of why.

Speaker 4:

Así que regresamos a esa pregunta nuevamente. ¿por qué so?

Speaker 1:

we're back to that question of why.

Speaker 4:

What made the difference? In 2 Timothy 2 and 25 and 26,.

Speaker 1:

there's a very powerful set of scriptures here In meekness, instructing those that oppose themselves if God pre-adventure will give them repentance to the acknowledgement the acknowledging of the truth and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil who are taken captive by him at his will. Now we often hear the saying new levels, new devils, but notice how the scripture connects here those who oppose themselves with those that are captive and those that are captive by the snare of the devil. They absolutely go together.

Speaker 4:

They absolutely go together. The more we allow our flesh to be in control of our life, the more control that Satan is going to have over us. In the Garden of Eden, Satan manifests himself as a form of a snake Coming to manipulate and deceive and attempt Venir a matibular y engañar y a tomar.

Speaker 1:

Now a snake can be dealt with.

Speaker 4:

Ahora una víbora. Podemos lidiar con ella?

Speaker 1:

If a snake shows up in your backyard, you can deal with that snake.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Grab a shovel or some maybe small weapon, like a small pellet gun, and you can deal with that snake. In Genesis 3 and 14, it's when the curses are given. The Lord, speaking to the servant, says upon my belly thou shalt go, and thus shalt thou eat all the days of thy life we were formed from the dust of the ground, Por cuanto esta existes.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

We were formed from the dust of the ground.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Dust we are and dust we shall return.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Dust is made up of decayed flesh, fallen flesh, and the serpent spiritually feeds on this fallen flesh of carnality.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

carne que ha caído, and so we see Satan referenced as a snake in the first book, así que vemos como la serpiente es referida como una serpiente en el primer libro, but by the time we get to the last book in the book of Revelation, Pero cuando vamos al último libro, el libro de Apocalipsis, we get to the last book.

Speaker 4:

In the book of Revelation, he is no longer referenced as a snake, but now as a dragon.

Speaker 1:

In Revelation 12 and 9 it says and the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent called the devil and Satan was to see with the whole world.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

So we see that Satan had been consuming fallen flesh.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

To the point where he went from a snake to a dragon.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Jesus makes an interesting statement in John 14 and 30.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Hereafter I will not talk with you much.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

For the prince of this world has cometh and hath nothing in me.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Another interpretation of that scripture says he shall find nothing in me.

Speaker 4:

Another interpretation says he has nothing to find in me.

Speaker 1:

See, the truth is it's not necessarily new levels, new devils.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

But new levels of anointing. Pero nuevos niveles de unción will always reveal the cracks that are in your character.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

And they must be dealt with.

Speaker 4:

Y debemos de lidiar con eso. If you refuse and instead you double down on your carnal ways y si tú rehúsas y quieres seguir manteniendo tus maneras en la carne?

Speaker 1:

if you ignore the character gaps in your life, if you justify the weaknesses and inconsistencies that you have, you will be crushed under the weight of the anointing.

Speaker 4:

And what God has imparted to you y lo que Dios ha impartido a ti for blessing and empowerment para que puedas tener bendición y poder will instead destroy you.

Speaker 1:

David was better than Saul, not because he was perfect, not because he didn't ever make mistakes, but because he never stopped fighting that battle of self and in the end he found a way to rise up and overcome himself.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Saul just kept doubling down on his own character weaknesses.

Speaker 4:

Y Saúl. Él seguía, maltratando sus debilidades.

Speaker 1:

Justifying them and embracing them.

Speaker 4:

Justificando en ellas y abrazándolas.

Speaker 1:

Until that snake became a dragon in his life.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

God called him, but his ambition, the snake, became a dragon in his life.

Speaker 4:

God called him, but his ambition destroyed him. God called him, but his pride blinded him.

Speaker 1:

The Lord exalted him, but he was determined to follow his own path.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Rebellion and stubbornness became the twin gods of his life.

Speaker 4:

And what the Lord wants us to see. In this story, as the life of Saul unfolds before the reader, we can clearly see that his character Was not strong enough or solid enough to match the anointing that God had placed on his life.

Speaker 1:

Saul was anointed by Samuel and it cost him very little. There was no great price that Saul had to pay, and Saul, in the process, refused to be transformed by the call or the anointing everything by the call or the anointing Y Saúl en el proceso rehusó ser cambiado por el proceso de la unción. Everything became about Saul.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

His kingdom, his calling, his anointing.

Speaker 4:

Su reino, su llamado, su unción.

Speaker 1:

We would say it in our day, our ministry, our church. And in the end, his persistent self-centeredness Sabotaged all the potential that he had in the kingdom of God.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

You do not have to be defined by your weaknesses.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

God created you in his image. Dios. Te creó a ti en su imagen God created you in his image.

Speaker 4:

By his blood, he has placed that divine call upon your life.

Speaker 1:

There is an eternal purpose that he has laid and he is unfolding upon you, and through the power of Jesus Christ you can be set free from all your past failures. You can overcome every internal battle.

Speaker 4:

You can overcome every internal battle, and you can overcome the darkest parts of yourself and be transformed into the person that God has called you to be.

Speaker 1:

Well, I just feel the Lord for a moment. Would you lift your hand and would you say Lord, give me victory over every carnal way, everything that has come against me, every internal battle, and by the authority of the word of God, by the power of the name of Jesus, I lose the anointing.

Speaker 3:

O, god, god, to touch every mind in your spirit right now to break every chain of darkness, every chain that's trying to pull down the anointing in the anointed ministries, all of.

Speaker 1:

God, that's upon the life.

Speaker 3:

By the authority of your word, by the power of your name, I lose faith into this hour to rise up.

Speaker 1:

I lose the power of God to I will speak into this hour to rise up.

Speaker 3:

I lose the power of God to flow in their life and ministry and calling, I lose the anointing and the prophetic Jesus to flow on every single person right now.

Speaker 4:

I lose it in me, in the name of Jesus hallelujah, hallelujah, I feel the Lord we feel the Lord.

Speaker 1:

The Lord spends a lot of time on King Saul's life, and you could really break his life up into three parts. There's the rising up of Saul, and then there was the downward spiral. He started just first going sideways, but then going downward.

Speaker 4:

Entonces vemos la caída como una espiral. De repente se va para un lado, pero de repente vemos que se va hasta abajo, but then there was the destruction of Saul, pero entonces sigue la destrucción de Saúl. Now Saul was called out from obscurity.

Speaker 1:

He was unknown. He was unknown.

Speaker 4:

He was not popular. He came from a small tribe and the least of the family of that tribe.

Speaker 1:

And yet the hand of God came down upon him and rested on him and said I call this man. It's like probably most of us. It's living our life, going our own way.

Speaker 4:

Yendo por nuestra vida, caminando nuestro propio camino, so live in our life, go in our own way. Bound in sin, doing our own thing, when that divine call of God came upon our life.

Speaker 1:

And we heard that voice from heaven call upon us and something deep inside our heart and soul was tugged on and we turned to God 2 Timothy 1 and 9 says and we turn to God 2, Timothy 1 and 9 says who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, Not according to our works not according to our works, but according to his own purposes and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before the world began.

Speaker 4:

This calling that's on your life goes beyond the foundations of the earth, and it was released by the blood of Jesus Christ upon that cross. And then it intersected with your life when you were least expecting it. And I woke up this morning and the Lord said to me.

Speaker 1:

We need to pray for that divine calling to manifest in our life. So right now, just for a moment, would you lift your hand?

Speaker 4:

And would you pray?

Speaker 1:

God, let let your divine call be my life. Would you pray that right now?

Speaker 4:

God, I pray that you would let your divine call be my life, my identity, my purpose, my calling.

Speaker 1:

Let me surrender myself to your calling and your anointing and your purposes. I pray in the name of the Lord. I lose that identity, I lose that purpose, I lose that calling let it be our life, let it be how we see ourselves. Let it be how we walk through this and journey through this thing we call life I lose your, call your purpose your anointing and your glory to manifest upon each and every one of us.

Speaker 4:

In Jesus name In.

Speaker 1:

Jesus name, this divine call is to be your identity.

Speaker 4:

I'm sorry.

Speaker 1:

This divine call is to be your identity.

Speaker 4:

I'm sorry. This divine call is to be your identity.

Speaker 1:

It is to be how you see yourself, no matter what else you do in this life, whether you're an accountant or a carpenter.

Speaker 4:

Se es un contador o un carpintero.

Speaker 1:

You are not defined by that.

Speaker 4:

Tu no eres definido por eso.

Speaker 1:

You are defined by that divine call that is resting upon your life.

Speaker 4:

It does not matter what any other voice in this world defines you as. You are to be defined by that voice of the Lord upon your life, and so Saul was called by God. And then God imparted to him the things that he needed to fulfill the call.

Speaker 1:

When Saul took that horn of oil and poured it upon Saul's head.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

And Saul was anointed to be captain over God's people.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

The scripture says when Saul turned La escritura dice cuando Saul volteó that God placed within Saul another heart.

Speaker 4:

Que Dios puso sobre Saul otro corazón.

Speaker 1:

He wasn't the same.

Speaker 4:

Él no era el mismo.

Speaker 1:

New passions, nuevas pasiones, new passions.

Speaker 4:

He felt the weight of the call deep to his heart and then Samuel the prophet said El corazón, el peso del llamado muy dentro de él.

Speaker 1:

And then Samuel the prophet said Y entonces Samuel el profeta dijo You're going to cross the paths with the sons of the prophets.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

And when you do.

Speaker 4:

Y cuando eso suceda, the prophetic that's on them going to rest down upon you.

Speaker 1:

And the Bible says that the prophetic power of God fell upon King Saul and he prophesied as one of the prophets. You see, god empowered him, god molded him, god transformed him for the call.

Speaker 4:

In 1 Samuel, 10 and 6. This is what Samuel said about that moment, and the spirit of the Lord shall come upon thee and thou shalt prophesy with them and thou shalt be turned into another man.

Speaker 1:

You see, the call of God, when it's empowered in your life, will transform you and mold you into another person. God touched the core of his being, in his heart.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

And God empowered him with his spirit and the prophetic ministry.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Now there's this climax of Saul's life.

Speaker 4:

Hay un clímax en la vida de Saul Now there's this climax of Saul's life. When the Amalekites conquer a city that's nearby.

Speaker 1:

And everyone is in fear, everyone's afraid.

Speaker 4:

They don't know what to do Y todos tienen temor. Todos están atemorizados, no saben qué hacer. When Saul hears what the king of the Amalekites has done y cuando Saúl oye lo que el rey de los Amalekitas hizo the anointing comes upon him, and he is righteously angry.

Speaker 1:

And he takes an oxen and he tears it up.

Speaker 4:

Y entonces toma algo y lo destruye.

Speaker 1:

And he says so. Shall anyone be that does not join Saul in the army?

Speaker 4:

He says so. Shall anyone be that does not join Saul in the army?

Speaker 1:

And in 1. Samuel, chapter 11, verse 7, he makes this reference at that moment. He says whosoever cometh not forth after Saul and after Samuel.

Speaker 4:

Because here there's a unity between Saul and the seer. Saul is standing side by side with the men of God. Saul had never led a battle before. His men are green and previously afraid, but when the anointing comes upon Saul, he leads the nation of Israel into an incredible victory. Now the enemy's king was named King Nahash.

Speaker 4:

And he told the city that he had surrounded Jabez Gilead and he told the city that he had surrounded Jabez Gilead, that the only way that he would give them peace is if he could poke every man's eye out.

Speaker 1:

And King Nahash has his name. In Hebrew signifies a serpent, a serpent that has come to Israel to pluck out the eyes and to steal the vision. But when the anointing of Saul aligns with the anointing of the prophet, of Saul aligns with the anointing of the prophet. The serpent is cast down, and not only is vision not destroyed, but the vision of the kingdom is elevated.

Speaker 4:

La visión no es destruida, but the vision of the kingdom is elevated, pero la visión del reino es elevada.

Speaker 1:

I believe there's a place for each and every one of us in the kingdom of God Y yo creo que hay un lugar para cada uno de nosotros. But we must be in proper alignment with each other. Pero tenemos que estar en alineación perfecta uno con el otro, proper alignment with our pastor and with spiritual leadership.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

We need to take this partnership of faith seriously. Debemos de tomar esta unidad de fe seriamente, because together we can see the vision of God come to pass in our generation.

Speaker 4:

Porque juntos podemos ver la visión de.

Speaker 1:

Dios y conquistar este mundo From the enemy that wants to steal the vision of God.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

That wants to corrupt the church.

Speaker 4:

Que quiere corromper la iglesia and cause us all to look internally at ourselves instead of up at the kingdom of heaven.

Speaker 1:

No, I don't know why or how it happened, but a few years passed and something changed inside of Saul. He forgot the awe of what being king meant.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

He forgot the moment when the anointing came upon him at an altar and he felt the call of God in his life for that very first time.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

And he got comfortable in his position.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

He started comparing himself among himself.

Speaker 4:

Él empezó a compararse él mismo con él mismo.

Speaker 1:

And his confidence began to shift from God to the people. And there was this moment of testing in his life, and God will always test us.

Speaker 4:

Not to test us, y Dios siempre nos va a probar.

Speaker 1:

Not to destroy us.

Speaker 4:

No para destruirnos.

Speaker 1:

But to allow the things that are in our character, that we're blinded to, to come to the surface.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

And Saul found himself in another battle. And Samuel said I will come and I will make the sacrifice. Fear began to manifest in the camp.

Speaker 4:

The soldiers of King Saul began to flee. It was in that moment that Saul had to decide Would he give himself to fear or would he hold on to faith? There's always going to be reasons to fear, but you are called of God. If God be for you, then who can be against you?

Speaker 1:

and Saul made a decision to compromise, to reach beyond the authority that God had given him he was called to be captain of the army, the authority that God had given him.

Speaker 4:

He was called to be captain of the army. The political authority, not the spiritual authority. No, la autoridad espiritual.

Speaker 1:

Samuel still held that ground, and so he began to overreach. The next we see him surrounded by religious emblems.

Speaker 4:

He is the priest of God. All around him, he is the anointed ephod of God right there. He even calls for someone to go get the Ark of God. He's got an entire army surrounding him and yet now he's paralyzed by his own religion, unable to move, unable to do anything. He was called to fight the enemy, but now he's stuck and there's this great contrast in this chapter where his own son, jonathan, takes an arm bearer with one sword and he goes to fight the enemy with just two men.

Speaker 1:

God was trying to stir up in Saul. Faith acts Saul.

Speaker 4:

Faith acts.

Speaker 1:

Religion and position hinder. And then the ultimate compromise came in Saul's life, when Samuel gave him a mission Go, destroy the Amalekites and leave nothing alive no person, no animal, nothing.

Speaker 4:

Saul decides to save some of the best. He decides to keep the cattle and keep the king. But when the prophet Samuel shows up, King Saul, absorbed in self-delusion, runs to the prophet and says I have done everything the Lord has asked me to do.

Speaker 1:

And Samuel is speechless. He looks around and he sees the cattle and he hears the lowing of the sheep and he says Saul, you have not kept the word of the Lord. And Saul argues Until the facts around him were too profound and too real to discount anymore.

Speaker 4:

Samuel. He said I have kept these for sacrifice unto the Lord. He says Saul, he guardado estas para sacrificio para el Señor.

Speaker 1:

And the Lord says to Samuel Obedience is better than sacrifice. And then it's just a few verses later, he says God has sought a man that is better than you. So you're comparing the wrong things, you're weighing out the wrong things. In your life, you've elevated things that do not matter.

Speaker 4:

Elevaste cosas que no importan.

Speaker 1:

You have called things spiritual that are not.

Speaker 4:

Tú has llamado cosas espirituales que no son. And so now in the end, así que ahora al final.

Speaker 1:

God is not just comparing a sacrifice.

Speaker 4:

Dios no solamente está comparando el sacrificio.

Speaker 1:

He's comparing a sacrifice, he's comparing a life, he's comparing a calling.

Speaker 4:

He's comparing an anointing, and just like the sacrifices that you kept, saul, you have fell short Now. Saul fell into the trap that many, many men fall into.

Speaker 1:

Thinking that our ministries are going to be justified by the approval of people are going to be justified by the approval of people.

Speaker 4:

You see, the confidence in the call should come from the divine call of God.

Speaker 1:

Not by how the crowds receive us. You see, every man's battle, and probably every woman's battle, is that we feel so inadequate to the call. I don't have the giftings, I don't have the ability. I don't have the giftings, I don't have the ability, I don't have the wisdom, I don't have a mom or a dad that's, you know, known in the apostolic Pentecostal movement. I can't preach like Brother Al Robinette or some other great preacher, and so we feel the call, but then we look at ourselves and we feel the inadequacies of our own self in the call.

Speaker 4:

But then we look at ourselves. And we feel the inadequacies of our own self in the call, and so then, we seek the approval of people.

Speaker 1:

Because we're trying to prove the adequacy to ourselves.

Speaker 4:

If the people think I'm worthy si la gente piensa que yo merezco, que tengo valor then I can accept the worthiness of the call.

Speaker 1:

See, this was the trapiness of the call.

Speaker 4:

See, this was the trap that Saul fell into. This is why his ministry began to be paralyzed.

Speaker 1:

Our confidence can come from one place, and one place only.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

And that is the cross of Jesus Christ.

Speaker 4:

Y esa es la cruz de Jesucristo.

Speaker 1:

It was his blood and it was his love y fue su sangre, y fue su amor that said, I'm going to go to the cross for you, according to his own purpose and his grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus. If the King of Kings says you're worthy, then you're worthy. If the King of Kings says you're anointed then you're anointed.

Speaker 1:

If the King of kings says, go forth, then you can go forth with confidence, because it never was about you. It's always about the king and the kingdom. He just allows you to be a part of it. Saul started strong. Saul was anointed and was gifted to fulfill the call.

Speaker 4:

But somewhere he lost his way. His life spiraled out of control Into devastating destruction, and it's hard to believe.

Speaker 1:

But in the end.

Speaker 4:

He was completely cut off from God's will.

Speaker 1:

He was completely cut off from God's will.

Speaker 4:

He was completely cut off from God's purpose and, worst of all, he was cut off from God's presence. And in the end, he was left dead alone on a battlefield.

Speaker 1:

Now you think about it, the man that was anointed to defeat the enemies of Israel the man that was anointed to destroy the Philistines was left dead on a battlefield while fighting the very enemies he was anointed to defeat and, in the end, the kingdom of Israel was left worse off than they were before he became king was left worse off than they were before he became king.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

They were left unprotected.

Speaker 4:

Fue dejado sin protección.

Speaker 1:

Defeated.

Speaker 4:

Fue hecho sin batalla débil.

Speaker 1:

Under the stronghold of the enemy.

Speaker 4:

Y fue atado al enemigo.

Speaker 1:

And outside the purposes of God.

Speaker 4:

Y fuera del propósito de Dios.

Speaker 1:

And the Lord is warning this generation.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

The anointing and the calling is not about you.

Speaker 4:

El llamamiento y la unción. No se trata cerca de ti.

Speaker 1:

The anointing and the calling is not about you.

Speaker 4:

The anointing and the calling is given from the king For his kingdom to rise up in this generation. You're anointed for such a time as this. There are Davids of this hour that are rising up.

Speaker 1:

Overcoming their own weaknesses, their own insecurities, their own inadequacies, and falling down in the presence of God and allowing God to continually restore them so that you can be everything that God has divinely called you to be. Romans 12 and 2 says that Jesus endured the cross because of the joy that was set before him. I'm going to tell you, when I look at the cross, I see pain, I see blood, I see torment. But when Jesus was on that cross, he saw you.

Speaker 1:

He saw what his sacrifice would produce in your life. He saw the fullness of the divine call manifesting upon you. He saw everything that that divine call could make you and transform you into being.

Speaker 4:

I want to about to come to an end. I want to say this I feel this in the Holy Ghost Y voy a decir casi termino, pero siento esto en el Espíritu Santo.

Speaker 1:

There is a parable that Jesus gives. Hay una parábola que el Señor Jesús dice for the sake of time I won't read it. But it's in Luke 14 and 10. But the Lord gives a picture of a banquet table and the Lord said when you come in, sit in a lowly place when you come in, sit in a lowly place, Don't make the banquet all about you.

Speaker 4:

But then Jesus said there's going to come a time when the master of the house says I want you to rise up from that lowly place.

Speaker 1:

When the master of the house.

Speaker 4:

Says I want you to rise up from that lowly place and I want you to sit at the head of the table. Now, this happened to Saul, this very thing.

Speaker 1:

As the shoulder of the lamb was given to him to eat. Saul wasn't ready for his moment, so he was crushed under the weight of the anointing. But Jesus is saying is there coming a time when, like Saul, god is going to raise up the apostolic church, an apostolic ministry, and he's going to take you from that lowly seat and he's going to place you in that seat of honor, a field in the Holy Ghost? The time is close. The Apostolic Church is about to rise up for the world to see, and it does matter in that moment that we have dealt with every character issue, that we have overcome every internal battle, that we have overcome all of our insecurities that we had overcome all of our insecurities, all of our fear, all of our doubts, all of the things that make us human, those negative attributes, so that we can rise up and be the church that God has called us to be.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

You see, the real contrast that God wants us to look at is not just the contrast between Saul and David. You see, David represented everything that Saul was called to be in the first place.

Speaker 4:

David was the manifestation of everything God wanted Saul to be. So the real contrast is not between Saul and David, but it's between Saul and Saul. It's between the man that Saul is at this moment, compared to the man that God called Saul to be.

Speaker 1:

And I want to speak to every person that's on this call this afternoon. God has called you and God has anointed you, and it's time to use the correct measuring rod as we measure our lives. When Christ died for the cross and he saw you individually and he saw the fullness of everything that you are called to become.

Speaker 4:

The fullness of everything that you are called to become.

Speaker 1:

How big is the gap from who you are now?

Speaker 4:

How big is the gap?

Speaker 1:

from who you are now.

Speaker 4:

To who God has called you to be.

Speaker 1:

Because the contrast God wants you to look at Is who you are right this moment, Compared to who has God divinely called you to be? So now I want to take ourselves off mute and I want to pray this God take the gap away. Let us step into the fullness of your divine call.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

And let us be defined by our call and our anointing upon our lives.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Let's take this off mute, let's pray, and then I'll turn this back over to Brother Robinette.
